On WinRed donation pages, you may come across a campaign or organization that is splitting funds with a nominee funds. These funds are a way to raise money for who the eventual nominee is once the primary is over.

As opposed to donating to a candidate directly in the primary, you can donate to whoever comes out on top.

Where does my money go?

All the funds collected before the primary are transferred into the campaign's account once the general election portion of the race begins.

You'll be able to know it's a nominee fund if it follows the naming scheme "[State or House District] Nominee Fund". Currently, nominee funds are only available for Federal candidates.
